Bio-electrical Electronics Laboratory (바이오전기전자실험)
Teaching assistant for the undergraduate hands-on laboratory course on biopotential acquisition, electrochemical sensing, and embedded data acquisition.
Instructor: Prof. Jungmok Seo (BLISS Lab)
Term: Fall 2024 — Fall 2025
Location: Yonsei University, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering
Time: Weekly lab session
Role
Teaching Assistant for Bio-electrical Electronics Laboratory at Yonsei University’s School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, from September 2024 to December 2025.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly hands-on lab sessions for undergraduate students
- Mentor student teams through experiments on biopotential acquisition (ECG / EMG / EEG front-ends), electrochemical sensing (cyclic voltammetry, amperometry), and embedded data acquisition (microcontroller-based instrumentation)
- Prepare lab handouts, debug student hardware/firmware issues, and grade lab reports
- Translate research-grade instrumentation knowledge (AD5941 potentiostats, ADS131M08 biopotential ADCs) into pedagogical exercises appropriate for the undergraduate level
What students learn
- Reading datasheets and translating block diagrams into working circuits
- Acquiring noisy biological signals and validating SNR
- Designing controlled electrochemical experiments (3-electrode cells, reference selection)
- Writing reproducible measurement protocols
This is the course that bridges the abstract circuit-theory background of EE undergrads with the practical realities of building biosensors — the kind of laboratory experience that originally motivated my own move into bioelectronics.
